#26 May 1, 2021 Begin Our 6 Week Roadtrip: Driving to Dad and Donna's Place in Noblesville, IN for a 2 Week Stay
Living our Nomad life is a life of movement and living with fewer things. It is Thursday, 2 days before we are driving to Indianapolis. On this day, we are both working. Darrell is set up at the desk area in our bedroom, and I have afternoon appointments scheduled at my place of employment in Huntsville. Our refrigerator items are sparse and we have been eating down the pantry items and buying fewer items in our final two weeks here.
For breakfasts we have a loaf of sourdough bread, a dozen eggs, toasted coconut almondmilk, apricot jam, a little butter, extra virgin olive oil, Darrell's gluten-free pancake mix, my hot cocoa mix, "Good culture" cottage cheese, a couple of apples and bananas, and variety coffee and teas. For lunch today we will likely finish off most of our fresh salad items of romaine, spinach, tomato, cucumber, celery, carrot, green onion, red onion, and apple. Other items for lunch include: greek olives, sliced cheese, my Italian Dressing, pantry items of sunflower and pumpkin seeds, raisins, and crackers. With just 2 dinners left, tonight is either at a restaurant, or left-overs plused up with some pantry item. Friday night dinner is an invitation to Darrell's brothers house where Phoebe, my sister-in-law, cooks and serves us amazing meals with special and warm hospitality. At Glenn and Phoebe's, we are able to leave my car, an old Toyota Rav 4, filled with our over-flow items that we still use while in this town, like Darrell's desk chair.
We are aware of our countdown to packing our truck and leaving this town. We have so few items, that we will do most of our packing on Friday.
Packed our truck with our crates that fit well, and labels added to help locate items. Drove north all day to Indianapolis and arrived at Dad's and Donna's.
