#86 June 25, 2022 Cruising Norway. Amazing. Beautiful. Stunning.

Troll Wall Coming down the Gondola. Cruise ship below.  Saturday's Activities. Ported today in Andalsnes. Went on a bus to famous Troll Road then to Troll Wall. Came back to town and went up the Gondola. Next we walked around town and found a Thai food stand. Most restaurants were opened at 2pm. We reboard the ship about 2:30 pm. Rest up in our room. #85 June 18, 2022 Falmouth and Southampton UK. Begin Spectacular Norway Cruise! Visit Haugesund, Olden and Tromso.

Saturday Activities.  Today we arrive Tromso, Norway on our cruise ship Island Princess.  There are 1550 passengers plus crew on this vessel.  The sky is clear.  The forecast is for 60 degrees.  We went on a small van tour with 9 total people to 3 fjords with stunning scenery. We saw reindeer and the location of the sinking of the World War 2 German battleship Turpitz. Stunning Norway near Tromso  Week's Highlights. Sunday.  Ship arrives Falmouth, England.  Because there is so much weekend pleasure craft in the bay our ship anchors about a 30 minute tender ride from the dock.  It is a cool and sunny day.  We walk about 1 1/2 miles up to Pendennis Castle built by Henry the eight around 1540.  We purchase the English Heritage membership so that we can visit many more places throughout the UK.  Touring with us are our Aussie friends Tricia and Gary.  The castle, walk...

#84 June 11, 2022 Iceland excursions: Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri. A Sea Day. Shetland Islands. Another sea day. Cobh(Cove) and Cork, Ireland.

Saturday Activities.  Two days ago our ship diverted our path to the English Channel to avoid a storm.  We missed our Cork, Ireland stop and are having a sea day today.  We are sailing by the white cliffs of Dover and scheduled to arrive Falmouth on Sunday morning.   White Cliffs seen from our cruise ship in the English Channel.  This morning Darrell and I got up before 6am to do our DDP yoga routine in the gym before the ship classes begin at 7am.  We had our last 8am Bible Study finishing off chapter 5 of John with a nice group of studiers.  Some of our group will continue for the next 6 sea days during our Norway cruise.  Others are leaving the ship on Monday in Southampton.  Our cruise has had an ongoing issue with mild cases of covid and any number of crew and passengers isolated in their cabins for days until a negative test is obtained.  The passengers that are staying on for Norway, including us, had to get a cov...
