#66 February 5, 2022 2nd Week of 4 in Meridianville, Alabama Airbnb. Unexpected Invitation and Roadtrip to Destin, Florida.

Me and my sister, Dr. Annette out for an early morning walk. Bundled up for the                                    Florida winter weather.

This past week:

Mon-Wed:  My colonoscopy prep and event.  Darrell working in between his remote work and taking me to the surgery center early Wednesday morning.  I had my first colonoscopy in 2015 and it was significant for me improving long-term pain that must have been linked to the 2-3 polyps that were removed.  It is past due for my recommended 5 year checkup.  So here I am now getting all of the needed maintenance done before our planned 6 months out of the US beginning May 26th!!

My sisters called me on Tuesday to invite me to come to Destin, Florida for Dr. Annette's 'Lifeworks' Beach Retreat.  I have gone to dozens of these retreats through the years as part of my training and personal participation in Lifeworks.  This weekend emotional healing retreat was number 47!  There are usually 2-4 Lifeworks per year.  Well, I wanted to go, but I wanted to wait until Thursday to determine about my recovery from my colonoscopy.

I ended up not completing my prep.  There are a lot of details that you and I don't want to repeat! lol!  I tried my best, and in the end (lol again!), I had to reschedule my procedure for later in the month.  I recovered from my overdose on magnesium by Thursday afternoon, and I agreed to attend Lifeworks as a surprize guest and support staff member.

I drove the 6 hours down on Friday and then back to Meridianville on Tuesday.

Dr. Ron Cargioli working support staff for Lifeworks Retreat.  The food is delicious!

On Saturday, the subject of this blog, I was deep into working with the participants of the weekend.  It was a really wonderful group of women.  I have known two of the women attending for years.  We were really happy to be spending our healing weekend together!  And I got the bonus of working along with my two sisters and Annette's husband Ron who also helps with the Retreat support.

Beautiful view of the beach at Destin, Florida

Saturday in Destin was cold for the beach winter.  The temperature got up to about 45 degrees and it was cloudy most of the day.  The weather did turn a bit warmer and got sunny for the next two days.

Here is my sister Linda talking to Owen on the screenshot.

Owen's cousin, Quinn is showing me his block!  This is a new level of interaction with him in this call!
Both grandsons have September birthdays.
