#52 October 30, 2021 On My Mind: My Final Saturday "EPT" Appointment; Upcoming Travel Plans; Current Cold Weather and Southern Winter

Our 1 bedroom airbnb in Gurley,  Alabama. We are here a 2nd time because it's nice!       On my mind today was my final Saturday appointment at my EPT business.  It makes me teary.  I really love my clients, and I have shared many good-byes in the past month.  Today was one more.  Each person giving me a long hug and letting me know they are thankful for me.  Some crying happy tears while they tell me how I have helped them through physical and emotional challenges.  EPT explores the link through the body's perceptions and immune system reactions that are linked together.  Some of my clients have been with me regularly for 10 years, down to a few weeks.  Since 1994, I determined to learn EPT, Emotional Polarity Technique.  It was then that EPT was being developed by my sister, Dr. Annette Cargioli, and she practiced her new psychological-mental-physical discoveries on me.  My healing was so profound, ...

#51 October 23, 2021 Friday, My 57th Birthday. Saturday Babysitting Grandson Owen. Sunday Lunch with Glenn and Phoebe.

Breakfast on our airbnb porch.  Darrell makes fancy pancakes served with real Maple Syrup a US specialty product.  Dinner at Hildegard's restaurant.   As I write this it is Friday, October 22nd.  This is my 57th birthday.  I consider with amazement my life and the joy that I have had on most of my birthdays.  The question is how to celebrate?  Darrell asked me, "What do you want for your birthday?"  I had 2-3 top choices on my list and this one won:  To eat a nice dinner out with our kids.  I got my wish.  Wes and Samuel met us for dinner at Hildegard's German Restaurant.  When it was time for dessert, I had a plan to get a piece of cake.  The other 3 with me started with a 'no' to dessert, then one by one relented.  We each ordered a different dessert and completed my birthday party dinner.  Darrell and Owen, age 5 weeks. Since Owen is so small, he is staying home with hi...

#50 October 16, 2021 Lynchburg, Tennessee (I call it, "Whiskeytown") with My Girlfriends; Week of Our 38th Anniversary

Image
Darrell and I are sitting after our morning exercise routine and our fancy pancake breakfast. Our lovely Gurley, Alabama airbnb porch faces the sunrise.  Two days ago we celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary.  We are pleased and grateful to be here in our lives now.  This morning is chilly, and I'm wearing two sweaters.  We have our weekly chat with Darrell's mom, Shirley.  She and Dad, Don are in their upper 80's and live with Darrell's sister Cyndy near Dallas, Texas. I drove 60 miles to Lynchburg, Tennessee to meet my longtime friends for lunch here in "whiskeytown".  My friends are Sharon in the middle who came from south Texas on a roadtrip to Laura's in Manchester, Tennessee.  We picked Lynchburg to meet since it is a small and rural tourist town.  I call it 'whiskeytown' because that is what it is known for.  The town history and money is built around an over 100 year history of making Jack Daniel's whiskey....

#49 October 9, 2021 Move to Gurley, Alabama Airbnb. Uncle Samuel Meets Baby Owen, and More.

Oldest son, Eric introducing Owen to his brother Samuel.  This is Samuel's first time to hold a baby and he took to it pretty good!  It makes my heart so happy to see my sons as young men taking care of the little ones!   Darrell and I got up early because we have a habit of waking up at 5:30.  Today was our 'moving' day from our Harvest, Alabama airbnb to our Gurley, Alabama airbnb.  We wanted to get the truck packed up early so Darrell could go at 7:30 to have breakfast with the men from church.  While Darrell went to Athens, I met up with Samuel for breakfast at Paneras and then to meet baby Owen.  I stayed a little while longer at Eric and Erin's and then met Darrell for lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant.  After we lingered there, we drove our two vehicles towards Gurley (a 50 minute drive) and stopped to shop at Duluth Trading Company on the way.  After that excursion, we drove on to Gurley and sat in the local coffee sho...

#48 October 2, 2021 Low Key Saturday, Our last in Harvest

Today we woke up early.  I do like to wake up and get up!  Very different from the earlier version of me. lol.  Our exercise routine was our 'easy' day of DDP's Energy 23 minute Routine.  We made breakfast separately because I'm still on my elimination diet for a while longer.  Darrell made his lovely, delicious gluten free pancakes and dark coffee.  I made my weird coconut and flax pancakes with date syrup which were oddly satisfying:)  I have most missed morning coffee, next to a few other foods I rely on.  I plan to try some coffee in about a week as I rotate in foods to test my toleration levels.  At this point of being 2 weeks into my diet, I am just now feeling like I'm breathing easier with more air flow.  I've been feeling better this week than last week too.  Some of these feelings could be more complex than just the diet changes.  I do know that eating more veggies is a good thing.  I also started eating wi...
