Saturday. 5. Drive from Moab, Utah to Tooele, Utah. Breakfast at Moab restaurant with my brother Wayne and his wife Chris. Stop at the grocery for some Greek and Icelandic yogurt and Kind nut bars. We enjoyed a large breakfast and a visit at breakfast. We left town going toward Tooele. While driving north we stopped at several scenic overlooks. Around 1pm we stopped at a small city park and ate a picnic lunch that we had with us: tuna packets, Wasa crackers, skyr key lime yogurt, cheese and fruit. We arrived at Darrell's brother Steve’s house in Tooele, Utah about 3:30 pm. He and his wife Janine moved here about a year ago to live next door to one of their sons, Jason, his wife Jacqueline and 4 children (Gill 16, Tidus 10, Reilly 7, and Izzy 4).
Sunday. 6. Today the church meetings were pretty incredible. In the last week, the group had two baptisms. One was a man at an end of life facility. His wife and special needs adult daughter met us at his hospice home for a Sunday worship service. Meeting them and other church members there was quite memorable. Our nephew Jason brought a short lesson on prayer. After this service we went to the regular meeting place and met with the multinational group. There was a newly baptized man there also. Among the group were a Philippine couple and a family from Ghana, and another couple I missed meeting among several local people. At dinner time, Steve and Janine’s daughter Sarah and her husband Sam and 3 small children came to visit. We enjoyed catching up and talking about a variety of things.
Monday. 7. Wayne and Chris left to fly back to Indiana and work for Wayne. Chris is retired, but continues to be busy as a grandmother and within their church family.
Tuesday. 8. Today we stayed until we completed our online Bible study from England around 1pm. Then we headed north. Our first night we spent in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Wednesday. 9. After breakfast we went to see the Falls. It is a beautiful long man made falls for hydro-power. It’s sunny and there’s a long walk along the river and the falls. We drove on to Butte, Montana.
Thursday. 10. Spend the day touring Butte. The International Mining Museum, a steep hike, an Irish Pub lunch, and other sights. I absolutely loved Butte! It was beautiful weather. I like the architecture, the restaurants, and the museums. I could spend more time here.
Friday. 11. Drive to Kila, Montana just outside Kalispell. Friends from Atlanta moved here in 2016. They have built their home with lots of hard work and pounding nails, and it’s beautiful. Our ‘old’ friends Bill and Susan Moore decided to make their life here. They came on a vacation to visit a friend in the area, and have built on their dream since. Bill retired. Susan is working as a nurse. We enjoyed going to church with them. We also got to know their son Zach who came home between jobs. The views around their mountainside land are gorgeous. Susan is a very good cook and enjoyed making meals with our hearty appreciation. She made an elk and moose stew! It was delicious and totally new for us.
