I took a couple items to donate at a thrift store. I found a skirt and a sweater to buy while there. I went over to Walmart and bought a new yoga mat. Kildeer Birds on Ground Nest at Playground Woodchips Saturday. 1. Raining all morning! Some very heavy rains! I’m making Cuban Black Beans today and coordinated with Eric and Erin to take it to their house for dinner and they are making rice.  Recipe: Cuban Black Beans Using our Instapot to cook the dry beans on a 2 hour pressure setting along with chicken bouillon and bay leaf. After the beans have cooked and the pressure is released, I’ll add in sauteed in olive oil: chopped green pepper, minced garlic, carrots, seasoned with oregano and cumin. I will add chopped pickled onions that we have left in a large jar and they need to be used. Usually I would saute’ chopped onion and add a bit of vinegar at the end of the soup making. Trying pickled onions is a full out experiment! We think it will work.
