Saturday. 27. Ship arrived in San Francisco. Bus to the airport for 2pm flight to Alabama. Get in late to Huntsville and stay at the airport hotel. Everything went well. The view from the airplane flying over the mountains was amazing!
Sunday. 28. Meeting our grandkids in person is just amazing! They are so adorable and sweet! It’s obvious that they have good parents! We saw friends at church and enjoyed our time of worship together with them. We met up with our youngest son Samuel for lunch. We got our items from his house that we had stored there. It included all of our stacking crates and trunks that fill our truck bed. We grocery shopped and checked into our airbnb rental house.
Monday. 29. Tuesday. 30. Wednesday. 1. Thursday. 2. Friday. 3.
This whole week Darrell stayed at our house with a rough cough, cold and fever. He was quite uncomfortable. He began to get better on the following Monday. He was missing out on time with the grandkids that I was enjoying on my own. Yet he stayed busy at his knowyourbible.org blog and correspondence with many in Kenya. I went to a funeral of a woman from church. I babysit once and visited the grandkids almost daily. I took care of Darrell as best I could.
Nomad Notes. I enjoyed my week and hoped that I would not get his illness. It’s difficult to be on the road and be sick. The good thing is that we are scheduled to be here for 6 weeks.
