#62 January 8, 2022 Anderson, Indiana Airbnb. Visiting my Niece's Family. Lunch at The Toast. Cold Temperatures Ease.
One of my friends said he skimmed my blog and was interested in what Darrell was eating. I made sure to include Darrell's meals for today! Lol.
Darrell and I asked April, my niece, if we could come over Saturday and cook breakfast and visit for a while. It's been years since we had been to her house.
Kalu, oldest daughter of my niece, a student of midwifery, was out all night attending a birth with her mom.
My niece April with her youngest Byron. Having breakfast with us after attending a birth since 2pm the day before. April is known well for her womens clinic and midwife skills.
Darrell sitting for breakfast after cooking in April and Josh's kitchen.
11 year old Trevor, great nephew. (Older brother, Moses, not pictured, went to his basketball tournament for the day)
Jeremy and Quinn called and said "hi". Quinn seems interested in Byron who is older at 2 1/2, and talking a lot!
Restaurant we went to for lunch on our way back to our airbnb.
Darrell ordered one of his favorites, a Reuben with a side of slaw. I had eggs, sausage and toast.
Eric and Owen called after we had lunch. This is so sweet to me!!
Darrell's dinner was a bowl of delicious leftover soup that I had made earlier in the week, with beet tops, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and spinach.
A brunch date on Friday morning with a friend from Alabama that was a roommate of Annette's in Atlanta in 1982!! Annette's husband Ron lived in the apartment next door as they attended Chiropractic college and later married.
Me with my Dad (86), and his wife Donna (84). They married in their 70's and have lived in Indiana near my sisters for several years.
My sisters. Annette, Linda, me. They have lived and worked together near Indianapolis for more than 30 years! I have been blessed to work together with them through the years. I am the first to "retire".
