#56 November 27, 2021 A 40 Year Reunion. Thanksgiving. Grandson Sees Christmas Tree.

Monday Reunion after 40 years with my High School girlfriend! She lives in Olympia. We reconnected through Facebook in 2009. She and her husband drove down to have lunch with us in Vancouver! Wow! I still love her and I was so excited to be together for a few hours!
Tuesday we drove to view Mt. St. Helens with just clouds! Lol. We had rai, fog, sleet, snow, and sunshine 🌞. A very mixed day with no views of any of the big mountains. It was it's own kind of beautiful. 
Thursday is turkey day.  It was a delicious success! I made a pumpkin pie and pecan pie bars. Jeremy baked the turkey, made mashed potatoes and whipped cream for dessert topping..  Darrell made crockpot stuffing and giblet gravy. Andrea cut up and prepared Brussels sprouts and green beans.  Dana brought flowers and sparkling juice.
Quinn's artwork is on the fridge. 
Our group included Dana Cargioli,  my sister, Annette's daughter. She and Jeremy are only 10 days apart by birth.

Saturday morning babysitting.  Quinn picked Grandpa to be his buddy. 
Delicious lunch salad with my homemade dressing, turkey. and Jeremy's sourdough rye walnut bread.

Getting up at 5:30-6am and taking care of our house sit cockatiels and cats was easier today! Lol. Doing it with two people is a lot easier than trying to do it with one. We got through the animal feedings and had breakfast before 8am today. Around 9am Jeremy and Andrea and Quinn called from Brazil. I always get a big smile with my kids on the phone so I appreciate the attention and time together! Darrell and I had a few animal chores that we attended to. I made two days of fresh food for the birds. Darrell vacuumed the bird areas. We also had to remove the old paper in 4 cages so that it is now fresh for another couple of days. After lunch we went driving around to see some of the local sites. There is a National Wildlife preserve where we took a short walk to a beach view. Jeremy called and talked to us with Quinn. Quinn was talkative and happy that it’s his birthday. He had been to his piano lesson and had a stack of birthday presents on the dining table next to him. They also had plans to go outside to play and to go to a cafe for a piece of celebration cake. Next week is the planned birthday party with friends. We got the report from Andrea and Jeremy about Quinn loving his birthday gifts. She posted pictures of him playing with his new magnetic squares and other shapes.   Sunday. 7. Worship today at Capshaw church in Harvest. One more Sunday after this and then a few days to our trip to England. I met an immigrant at church named Vickie. I got a few bits of information from her. Seven Sea Days in a Row. Celebrate our 42nd Wedding Anniversary October 14th. Celebrate my 61st birthday October 22nd. He picked this one for two-three main reasons: 1) it’s 2 weeks long with a lot of down time to relax and disconnect from work. 2) this cruise usually is about 50% guest capacity 3) per day price is always less expensive on repositioning cruises.
