#18 Saturday March 6th 2021 Darrell's 61st Birthday! Quinn's 6 month Half-Birthday

My space for EPT appointments. I enjoy this spacious space for this intense work.

Today in Madison, Alabama.  Weather is sunny getting up to 58 degrees F.  We began Darrell's birthday celebration on Thursday night, going out to a nice restaurant and walking around the outdoor mall.  He wanted to go into the candy shop and buy a variety of little jelly beans.  What a simple request that brought him a bit of happy!  By Friday night, I had purchased a lovely Chantilly cake from Publix, with whipped cream, and fresh mixed berries in the layers of white cake with almond and orange flavors.  We enjoyed some on Friday and today at lunch with our son, Samuel at our airbnb.

For our Saturday breakfast, Darrell made his really delicious gluten-free pancakes that he is now adding shredded pear into and soaked muslie cereal.  These pancakes are really hearty and so amazing that he could sell them!  Well, we get to enjoy them with our french press coffee, fresh berries, maple syrup and fresh pecans that we just got from a friend this week.

Being Saturday, Darrell called his mother to talk for an hour or two.  While she takes a break to get her meds, she hands the phone off to his Dad and the two chat for a couple of minutes.  I leave for my one Saturday work appointment at the Pharmacy where I book my clients for EPT (Emotional Polarity Technique).  I'll be back by lunch time and today, Samuel came over to eat with us.

We enjoyed our lunch and Darrell's cake.  Jeremy, Andrea and Quinn (age 6 months today) call by video calling during our lunch.  We sing Happy Birthday and another song to Quinn, and chat about our day for a few minutes, then say good-bye until next week.

Darrell and I worked on going through our respective trunks of clothing that we have severly pared down in our downsizing.  We come up with 4 more bags of donations that we are sure that we are never going to wear again.  Many of Darrell's office and long sleeve dress shirts are in his bags to give away.  Since becoming a digital worker from home, he hasn't worn any of this type of clothing.  And he doesn't need more than one for any future occasion. I off-loaded 3 pairs of shoes, and worn out shirts, and some items I no longer want or fit me well.

Next we drove to the old train tracks that have been turned into a walking trail.  It starts near Athens, Alabama and goes north through Elkmont and on up to the Tennessee border for a 10 mile trail.  Today we walked 3 miles in and turned around and walked the 3 miles back to our truck.  Our conversation kept us going as we are actively planning our retirement and several months travel to England next year. We returned to our airbnb has a dinner of left-overs and some air-popped popcorn, reading, and a science tv show.

The 6 mile walk was quite tiring and we are sitting mostly.  I worked a bit more on my trunk clothes.  I hope that your day has been as enjoyable as ours!!
