Today we check out of our Auckland hotel and board the Royal Princess ship headed for Sydney through 14 days of New Zealand stops,Tasmania and Australian stops, and sea days too. We left our hotel around 11am and headed with our rolling luggage downhill to the port. We were able to drop off our luggage among the crowd doing the same. Then we wandered around the downtown area for the next several hours. We had tea and we had lunch. We talked to each of our grandchildren by video calls. It was a lovely day. The line to get on the ship was slow-going and took us two attempts and standing finally for about 45 minutes to get through all the hoops and on the ship. Darrell on the Way to The Fruit Shop Fruit Box From Fruit Shop Our Laundry Drying at Te Awanga Our Airbnb Saturday. 17. Morning Routines: Workout together; Make Breakfast; Read, etc. We stayed in for the morning. Darrell does a Saturday email to his Bible study group in Kenya plus others who want to be on his list. He also fixed and ate his lunch while I was just wanting to go for a ‘real fruit’ ice cream for my lunch. We drove over to a fruit stand in Hastings and found out that it’s a tour bus stop. Napier has cruise ship passengers who stop here and this is one of the excursions. We got Real Fruit Ice Cream here and a big box of assorted plums, apricots and peaches along with a large box of strawberries. And then headed back to our apartment in Te Awanga. We changed into swimsuits and walked to the beach. The tide was high and the beach is rocky, not sandy here. Neither of us wanted to go into the water. We got a good walk and then went back to ou...
