#94 August 20, 2022. Nomad Diary. Long Walks. Wells. Travel Day. Milton Keynes Housesit. Ubigi Data.

Having Darrell's pancakes at our lovely Milton Keynes housesit. Lunch in our neighborhood at Simply Good. We ate here several times during our stay. Saturday Activities. 20. We do a DDP yoga routine each morning before breakfast. Darrell made pancakes (yum! These are especially good as he is using a combination of kefir and greek Uyogurt). We take a walk and we eat lunch out. Week’s Highlights. Darrell and our housesit cat Smokey. Having dinner in the garden. Friday. 19. On this day, Darrell is working on our cellular phone data issues. We have been using GoogleFi and we have been out of the US getting close to 90 days and this company has warned us that we will lose our data access per contract. We knew this was coming for a while and tried to get it figured out a month ago, but now he has to come up with the solution and get it working. He does it and we have a second company loaded onto our phones called Ubigi for keeping us connected to the i...

#93 August 13, 2022 Nomad Diary. Avebury Stones. Cardiff Day Trip. Prior Park and Train Tunnels Walk.

Funny doorknocker. Maybe Dobby from Harry Potter. Saturday Activities. 13. We walk the familiar 2 miles to Keynsham. Grocery shop and have lunch at Indigo Kitchen.  Week’s Highlights. In Bath. End of by the river. Plants growing in the lock doors. Darrell going up the steps to street level. On our way to Prior Park. Looking uphill at Prior Park College. Looking downhill at the rare Paladian Bridge in Prior Park. The bridge at Prior Park.  Pretty paths through the southern Cotswolds. Friday. 12. Today we take the bus to Bath to get us within a mile of Prior Park. There is a scenic Palladian bridge that we are going to see. We have a beautiful walk all the way there. When we arrive we find a lovely landscaped walk with information boards explaining this place in further detail! We walked down a wooded pathway toward the valley where the bridge is. We took the bus from a stop right in front of our airbnb towards Bath, and got off at a close village called Kelston. We walked away from the main road down a country lane to a cafe located at a cow farm called Bath Soft Cheese Cafe. We ate second breakfast here. It was delicious with great cappuccinos! We walked on down the pasture to the bike path that is on an old railroad bed and runs between Bristol and Bath. We walked into Bath at least 6 miles. We walked around there, got myself a walking stick, had a light lunch, and picked up some groceries before heading back on our 20 minute bus ride to Bitton. 2nd Breakfast at Bath Soft Cheese.
